PISTOLS. Cal. approx. 35. NSN. Two boxlock percussion pistols, each about 5" long & marked "B.L. JOSEPH LIVERPOOL", checkered grips w/ bulbous butts, German silver diamond shaped thumb plates. Pistols came from the family of Patriot William Floyd Long Island, New York according to consignor. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: mounted in a mahogany case w/ compartmented wooden tray, 4 lidded compartments & fitted for 2 extra nipples. "Sykes" bag flask. Bbl. wrench & 84 bore scissor mold. Top plaque on case lid is inscribed "WM. FLOYD 1848". CONDITION: very good overall. Pistols are overall gray / bright. Well discerned engraving, Birmingham proofs, no original finish. Accessories are similar condition. Casing very good. Wear & staining to red velvet lining & lid. Wood compartment retains most of its original varnish. Casing is brass bound & mounts have light mixed mustard colored patina. (01-17289/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,000.
