Ancient Malwa, Vidisha region - post-Mauryan uninscribed die-struck coin, (c.200-150 BC), not listed in PAIC, 7.87g. Obv: symbolic configuration - six-armed symbol in centre, tree-in-railing to left, 'Ujjain' symbol above, river with turtles and fishes below. Rev: 'Ujjain' symbol with Swastikas in orbs interposed with taurine-ended cross; counterstruck by a large triangle-headed standard in railing symbol.
Very fine, Very rare.
The counterstrike on reverse is highly unusual and probably noticed the first time.
