Vakatakas of Vidarbha and the Deccan, anonymous copper coin, (300-400 AD), unpublished in major sources, 1.33g. Obv: Indistinct. Rev: Brahmi legend Vriddhi.

Fine+, Very rare

The Vakatakas issued a scant coinage in low value regime, which were comparable to the coins of Nagas, the Maghas and the Bodhis in terms of their weights. Interestingly, very few bear the name of the issuing ruler. Instead, they have words like 'Siddhi' (success) and 'Vriddhi' (growth) inscribed on them.
