Satavahanas - lead coin of Siri Satakani (100-50 BC), 'human figure' type, Tripuri/Eastern Malwa region, 5.06g. Obv: 'Ujjain' symbol with one orb modified with crescent in centre; Brahmi legend clockwise Raño Siri Satakanino around. Rev: human figure standing in centre, three-arched hill topped by an elephant to left, tree-in-railing to right and two wavy lines with fishes below.
Good very fine, Very rare.
The legend on this coin ends in '-No' as a genitive case suffix (Satakanino) instead of the usual '-Sa'. Although grammatically more accurate it is surprisingly not seen on any other type of Satavahana coins.
