Post-Mauryan tribal republics, Yaudheyas, die struck copper coin of 'Bahudhanyaka' type (c.150-100 BC), not listed in MAC or Pieper, 2.00g. Obv: Bull walking to right, sacrificial standard (Yupa) in front; Brahmi legend Yodheyanam (clockwise) below and Bahudhañake (anticlockwise) above. Rev: Indistinct.
Very fine+, Rare.
The legend on this coin is inscribed in a manner opposite to what is usually seen on 'Bahudhanyaka' coins (Yodheyanam above and Bahudhañake below).
