DEMO LOT
Megalithic cultures in the Deccan, gold ornamental diskette said to have been recovered from a river bed in Karnataka, (2000-1500 BC), 2.61g.
Extremely fine, Extremely rare.
Such diskettes were used for stringing into a necklace. They are very similar in style and fabric to those from a large hoard found in May 2000 at Mandi in Muzaffarnagar dist, western Uttar Pradesh, attributed to the Indus Valley Civilization (mature phase). However, this diskette does not have a milled edge, like many of the Mandi specimens.
