Kingdom of Vatsa (Ayodhya), cast copper coin of Muladeva, (150-100 BC), not listed in PAIC, 6.49g. Obv: Bull walking to left, uncertain symbols in front; Brahmi legend Muladevasa above. Rev: symbolic configuration: bold Chakra in centre, sacrificial post (Yupa) to left, tree-in-railing to right, wavy line below and a row of two Swastikas and a small 'Ujjain' symbol above.

Very fine, Very rare.

It is extremely difficult to come across cast coins of the monarchical series of Ayodhya coinage which show clearly discernible motifs and legends.
