Indus Valley Civilization (mature phase, 2500-2000 BC), group of 6 gold rings/disks, to be strung into a necklace and possibly used for trade as primitive money, said to have been recovered from excavations at Harappan sites, weighs 0.7g to 0.17g (various weights); 4.40mm to 4.87mm. (6 disks)

Rare.

A large hoard of disks similar to these were found in May 2000 at Mandi in Muzaffarnagar district, Western Uttar Pradesh, attributed to the Indus Valley Civilization (mature phase). The hoard was contained in two bronze containers and included many varieties of spacer beads, hollow terminal beads, single and double bell-shaped beads, and thin circular diskettes.
