Ancient Eastern Malwa, Dasharna area, monarchical coinage around Erikachha city-state (Erich / Erachh), Betwa valley (100-50 BC), lead coin of Raja Sahasrasena, 1.70g. Obv: Brahmi legend inscribed clockwise in circular fashion from 6 o'clock, Rajño Sahasrasenasa. Rev: Three-arched hill surmounted by a crescent, wavy line to left.

Very fine+, Very rare

Sahasrasena followed Ishvaramitra at Erich and issued coins in many different types. Most common are the punch-marked copper issues. The coins with circular legends are known only in alloyed copper and lead, and are extremely rare.
