Chera kingdom of 'Sangam' period, uninscribed copper coin of 'elephant' type, (100-200 AD), Karur/Vanchi region, similar to PAIC 3091, 2.96g. Obv: Elephant standing in profile facing a standard to left, a branch over its back and some symbols along the top margin. Rev: Strung bow-and-arrow symbol with an elephant god (Ankush) placed sideways below it.
