Archaic silver punch-marked coin - lower Tons river system, attributed to 'Chedi' or 'Kalinga' Janapada, (c.400-350 BC), ABBC configuration, Karshapana standard, not listed in Rajgor or MATEC, 3.44g. Obv: four punches - 1x bull facing left, 2 x six-semircircles, each with an annulet, surrounded a circle with a dot, and 1x ploughshare without oxen resembling a 'candelabra'.

Extremely fine, Very rare.

MATEC lists similar coins with 'candelabra' like mark as products from the Son river valley, (Shahdol area) while Rajgor refer to a hoard in Patna Museum with similar marks.
