Ancient middle Gangetic valley- monarchical die-struck coinage, copper coin of Vijayamitra, (c.50-100 AD), not listed in PAIC, 3.26g. Obv: Bull standing facing left; Brahmi legend Vijayamita around. Rev: Railing enclosing a fish standard and a tree.

About Extremely fine, Extremely rare.

This is evidently a different Vijayamitra from the one whose coins are known in the Ayodhya series. Judging by the language and palaeography of the legend he also appears to be a first century, pre-Kushana ruler.
