Ancient Malwa, Ujjain region, post-Mauryan inscribed die-struck copper coin, 'seated man' type of Bhumimitra, a local ruler, (200-150 BC), Pieper 405-406, 2.60g. Obv: Human figure seated cross-legged on a lotus, wearing hair-bun and carrying a staff and water-pot, traces of other symbols to left; Brahmi legend Bhumi(mi)ta… to right. Rev: 'Ujjain' symbol with concentric circles as orbs.
