Ancient Haryana - copper coin of 'Agodaka' city-state of the Agacha people, (c.100-50 BC), similar to PAIC 988 but square, 2.76g. Obv: A 'tree-in-railing' symbol in centre, Brahmi legend Agodake Agacha Janapadasa around (counterstruck on a tree-in-railing motif). Rev: Lion seated facing right above a nine-arched hill (counterstruck on a 'lion seated right’ motif).

Extremely fine, Extremely rare with full legend visible.

The coin is exceptional as full legend is visible. On many Agodaka coins, counterstriking obliterates the inscription to a great extent.
