Ancient Eastern Punjab/Western Haryana area, post-Mauryan uninscribed die-struck lead coin, (c.200-150 BC), unpublished in major sources, 1.58g. Obv: Goddess standing frontally, holding an object in her hand; 'Ujjain' symbol to right, tree-in-railing to left and a wavy line below. Rev: Bull standing, facing right; traces of symbols above.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
Coins of this sort have been a recent addition to the repertoire of post-Mauryan die-struck regional coinages. Some of them have a legend ascribing them to the city issues of 'Pratishthana', which was located in Western Haryana.
