Ancient Egyptian Blue-Green Faience Plaque c.1085-715 BC. Size 18 x15 mm. Fine blue-green faience plaque with two uraei conjoined at the tail and protecting a scarab beetle that puches a sun disk. The Beetle and sun disk comprise an incomplete spelling of the throne name of Thutmose III, (Mn)-hpr-rc, a name that continued to appear on scarabs and scaraboid sealseven long after Thutmose III's reign had ended. a beaded border frames the top and bottom of this frieze. on the flat side, where the glaze is better preserved, is inciseda hieroglyphic inscription reading "May Maat be well disposed" worn as an amulet.
