American circa 1805-1820 bright fire-blued blade with gilt accented inscribed American Eagle, E PLURIBUS UNUM on banner, and various military motifs. With scabbard and heavily gilt scabbard fittings. The leather on the bottom of the scabbard has a separation – and needs reinforcement. Heavily gilt hilt. The grip insert is absent. Desirable sword with fine gilt brass components and bluing. Overall 38" L, blade 33" L

By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot.
