Akbar (1556-1605 AD) - silver kori, struck in peninsular Gujarat to local fabric and standard, unpublished in major catalogues, 4.68g. Obv: Shahada in rectangular border. Rev: Nagari/Gujarati legend Shri Ra Akbar.
Unpublished in major sources, Extremely fine, Extremely rare.
Stylistically very similar to the 'Murid Raysingh' coins, this is most likely an issue acknowledging and citing Akbar, struck somewhere in Kathiawad, during the power struggles that erupted in the region, following Akbar's conquest of Ahmadabad and Champanir.
Similar coin was offered in 2016
