African Bamana (Bambara) wooden mask with carved standing female figure to forehead. Incised zigzag designs around the face, openwork carved zigzag sections to both sides of the jaw. Originating from the Bamana people of Mali, the mask embodies traditional craftsmanship and symbolic significance, often used in ceremonial rituals. The female figure represents fertility and protection. Size 17 1/4" L, Weight 1 lb 13.4 oz. Provenance: Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA.
