DEMO LOT
Desirable, black finished type C mag. for the classic Thompson SMG. The 100-rd. drum is the perfect accessory for "The Gun that made the 20"s Roar" or "Chicago Typewriter". Front data plate reads "MAGAZINE TYPE C / THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN / 100 CARTRIDGES CAL 45 / WIND TO 15 CLICKS / NO 1009", back cover reads "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP / NEW YORK NY USA / PATENDED / JULY 27 1920 DEC 7 1920 / NO 1006". CONDITION: appears to be operational, though it hasn't been loaded; finish is uniform & thinning in some spots, w/o obvious major defect; this cataloger finds it interesting that the front & rear serial number would be non matching due to a single digit that could have been transposed during the marking process, its not uncommon to find non matching numbered parts, but to be so close & only have a single digit that could be flipped upside down different is quite interesting. (02-13612/JZ). $1,750-2,250.
