Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1239. Bbl 18 1/4" over Cutts compensator. A semi automatic variant of the famous model 1928 Tommy gun, "the gun that made the 20s roar" or the famous "Chicago typewriter". It features the iconic vertical foregrip & pistol grip w/ the classic hardwood stock & finned bbl. Blowback operated, closed bolt action. Knurled & slotted top mounted cocking handle. Front sight fixed on 4 slot Cutts compensator. Flip up ladder style rear sight. 36 Slot ribbed bbl. This version utilizes certain stick mags as well as drums. Blued finish. Hardwood stock & pistol grips. Bottom mounted sling swivels front & rear. MAGS: none. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original inner/outer cardboard shipping box. CONDITION: shiny bore w/ strong rifling. Bluing on exposed metal surfaces is uniform & complete w/ a few light storage marks & thinning in area where trigger frame meets receiver. Mag release lever also displays thin finish. Wood has a few minor impressions, probably earned in storage. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (19-5888/JZ). MODERN. $800-1,200.
