NCO SABER. Overall length: 34”. Blade length: 28”. Single fullered blade is etched on 1 side in a 7 1/2" panel that reads, “Ancient & Honorable Artillery Co 1638”. Brass hilt. Quillon is stamped “185”. Brass wire wrapped leather grip. Brass mounted leather scabbard. Scabbard drag is stamped “185”. Sword dates from 1870-1890. CONDITION: blade has a light gray cleaned finish w/ several sm. nicks to the blade. Hilt has a mellow mustard patina. Grip shows finish wear to the leather. Scabbard is complete & solid w/ minor flexing. Middle mount is loose. (02-13489/BF). $300-500.
