PISTOL. Cal. 31. S# 446 (under grip). Bbls. 3 3/4" six shot, smooth bore, fluted cluster marked "ALLEN & THURBER WORCHESTER". Blue finish w/ bright trigger. Case colored trigger guard & bar hammer, right side of hammer is marked "ALLEN'S PATENT 1845". Detachable nipple shield & frame have open floral pattern factory engraving w/ fancy border extending down backstrap. 2 Piece walnut bag style grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period case w/ red velour fitted interior. Case contains powder flask, 2 cavity mold, walnut handled loading & cleaning rod along w/ an ample supply of rnd. balls. Case interior shows wear & fading. Front face shows sm. cracks around latch. Case exterior shows scattered handling marks. CONDITION: very fine. Over 80% bright original blue showing scattered flaking on frame. Trigger guard retains 40% case colors. Grips retain good original finish showing light marks.
