SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 1 1/2" CALIBER 41 PERCUSSION MANUFACTURED 1845-1871. Based in Philadelphia Andrew Wurfflein entered the firearms business and quickly became a maker of Henry Deringer copies. As the pending Civil War fever approached his business increased and he became a large manufacturer of unlicensed copies of the famed single shot. Small 41 caliber percussion pistol nearly identical in construction to the Peanut sized Deringer. Lock marked "A. WURFFLEIN PHILA". Barrel flat is marked the same. Birds head pattern checkered walnut stock with German silver furniture. CONDITION, Good with stock being very fine , full sized with no cracks. Barrel and lock have traces of their faux Damascus finish, balance turning patina. Bore is fine, markings are crisp and action operates properly. ANTIQUE
