J&M Whitetail Outfitters: Destination Kansas is a hunting outfitter primarily focusing on whitetail but we also offer turkey, waterfowl, quail and coyote hunts.
I, Steven Freese, am the sole owner and lead guide of the outfit, aided by my wonderful wife Deanna who organizes all of the day to day lodging and cooking operations.
We operate on 21,000+ acres of long term, private leased, highly managed, prime habitat in Chautauqua and Elk counties . Our ground consists of a mixture of mature timber, cedars, river bottoms, oak flats, brushy hedgerows, agricultural fields, crp grasses...the entire Kansas experience. We focus on growing and managing for some of the countries largest free ranging, fair chase whitetails.
Experience the heart-pounding intensity of the Kansas rut with this five-day, two-hunter archery hunt targeting four-plus-year-old whitetail bucks in one of the Midwest’s premier big buck destinations. Kansas is legendary for producing mature, heavy-antlered whitetails, and this hunt is timed perfectly to take advantage of peak rut activity when bucks are on their feet and cruising.
Both hunters will enjoy five incredible days afield during the most exciting time of the season, hunting carefully managed properties known for producing mature deer. Whether you prefer well-placed tree stands, travel corridors, or food source setups, you’ll be positioned for opportunity when it matters most.

Hunters are required to purchase their own Kansas non-resident hunting license and whitetail tag. Whitetail tag cost ranges from $554 to $600 per hunter.
