The proceeds of this hunt will support METAvivor Research and Support, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women and men fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, including funding medical research to save their lives. One of our own, Lora Gene Young, a WSF member and mountain guide who many of you know and have read about in Wild Sheep magazine, has been battling this disease, which has spread to bones throughout her body. Despite the tremendous suffering that she endures with joyful courage, Lora educates others on the critical need to focus more resources on stage 4 cancer patients. Lora has guided for Croc Adams, who has kindly dedicated the proceeds of this hunt auction to METAvivor so that a gift from the Wild Sheep Foundation in Lora's honor can save lives like hers. Lora also has a GoFundMe site and her stage 4 cancer outreach is on Facebook and Instagram. Just search for Lora Gene Young or Gypsy Nomad Outdoors to follow this young woman's brave struggle.
