This lot has a brass English style mold w/ iron sprue cutter marked on 1 handle "NO. 20". Other 3 iron molds are all reminiscent of battlefield found rds., especially the crude iron nose sprue high base 3 ring minié. CONDITION: 3 molds are very good. The 2-cavity ball & minié mold w/ sprue cutter is good overall, missing handles w/ rust & pitting, though cavity is very good. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Dan Poppen. (02-13447-4/JS). $800-1,200.
