1) GEORGIAN SPADROON. Overall length: 37". Blade length: 31 1/4". Dbl. fullered blade has some etching near the hilt. Steel hilt has a very attractive intricately cut crossguard w/ a plain backstrap & chamfered knuckle bow. Multi ribbed shaped ebony grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a dark mottled patina & appears to have been sharpened during its useful life. Hilt has an attractive gun metal patina. Grip has several cracks from drying but only very minor losses. (02-13375/BF). 2) BRITISH "PATTERN 1742" HANGER. Overall length: 33 1/2". Blade length: 27 1/4". Plain blade w/ a single narrow fuller at the top & stamped opposing broad arrows at the ricasso. Brass hilt w/ heart shaped guard. Quillon has been removed. Underside of guard is stamped "P5 478". Wood grip was likely originally wire wrapped. Upon losing its wire, wood grip had channels cut to facilitate a firm grip. Wood shows significant wear indicating channels were cut during the sword's useful life. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium dark gray patina. Hilt shows various dents & dings but no notable damage. Grip shows honest wear. (02-13380/BF). 3) FRENCH HUNTING SWORD. Overall length: 28". Blade length: 22 3/4". Blade is etched on the lower quarter w/ a foliate & cherub motif. Brass crossguard & pommel cap cast & engraved in a decorative manner. Wire wrapped sharkskin grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a dark gray patina but etching is quite clear. Hilt shows moderate overall wear. (02-13404/BF). $800-1,300.
