1) WHITNEY ARMS CO. NO. 1 SPORTING STYLE 2 RIFLE. Cal. 38 CF. S# 86062. Bbl. 29 7/8" oct. Replacement copper blade front sight w/ sporting rear sight having replacement elevator. Top tang is marked "WHITNEY ARMS CO / NEW HAVEN CT. U.S.A.". Schnabel tipped walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Estimated production 50,000 mfg. 1881-1888. CONDITION: bbl. finish is fading to brown showing spots of light pitting. Action finish has faded to mottled gray w/ light pitting & handling marks. Breech block ear is a welded replacement. Refinished wood shows handling marks, stock is missing lg. chip right of top tang & has cracks extending from buttplate. Bore retains intact rifling w/ slightly darkened appearance. (01-17636/DS). 2) REMINGTON NO. 1 SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 Ga., 2 5/8". NSN. Bbl. 32" w/ brass front sight. Cyl. bore. Action tang has 3 line address. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: metal is fading to brown patina. Sanded & refinished wood, both stock & forearm have cracks extending from action w/ chips around tangs. Lightly pitted bore. (01-17637/DS). 3) REMINGTON NO.1 SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 Ga., 2 5/8". NSN. Bbl. 29" w/ brass front bead. Cyl. bore. Top tang has 3 line address, last date is March 16th, 1874. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock has musket buttplate & inletted swivel. CONDITION: gray metal showing spots of light pitting. Forearm shows heavy dents, gouges & wear. Refinished stock has sm. repaired chip behind trigger guard tang. Pitted bore. (01-17666/DS). ALL ANTIQUE. $900-1,300.
