1) ARMY PARADE SWORD. Overall length: 39 1/2". Blade length: 32 5/8". Blade has a full length narrow fuller w/ a simulated irregular temper line on the edge. Gilded brass hilt showing a 10 petal cherry blossom mon. There is no crest on the backstrap. Black wire wrapped grip. Plated steel scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows very light wear but is a bit dirty. Hilt retains most of its original gilding. Scabbard shows light wear to the plated finish. 2) CAVALRY TROOPER SABER. Overall length: 37". Blade length: 30 1/2". This Type 32 saber of 1899 features a 3/8" full length fuller w/ the number "99199" stamped at the ricasso. Checkered 1 piece wood grip w/ corresponding checkered steel backstrap. Handguard has various Japanese stampings including the 3 lobed marking of the Tokyo Arsenal prior to 1936. Steel scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows very little wear throughout. Hilt shows light wear w/ some oxidation to the steel. Scabbard is quite solid but does have an oxidized mottled finish. 3) KATANA. Overall length: 39 3/4". Blade length: 26 3/4". Blade has a barely perceivably straight hamon. Tang has a 6 character signature on 1 side & 2 character on the other. There is a high & low mekugi-ana. Brass habaki. Plain iron tsuba w/ 1 seppa above & below. Matching iron fuchi, kashira & cherry blossom menuki. White same w/ improperly tied brown tsuka-ito. Early iron 20th century saya w/ brown painted finish & iron mounts. CONDITION: blade shows very minor staining. Tang has minimal oxidation. Tsuka & saya show light wear. 4) FLAG. A rising sun style WWII cotton Japanese flag measuring 12 1/2" x 11" w/ Japanese characters that read "To Kenji Akada Fight courageously to establish (or promote) the greater East Asia". CONDITION: flag shows light wear overall. Attached translation is a bit tattered. (02-13308(4)/BF). $700-1,000.
