1) GERMAN SILVER HILT. Overall length: 26 1/2". Blade length: 20 1/2". Unmarked blade is diamond in cross section. Silver cross guard ferrule & pommel cap. Cross guard terminals are in the form of dog's heads & have various proof marks. Ferrule has a charging dog on 1 side & a thrashing buck on the other side. Hardwood grip appears to be rosewood. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has been heavily cleaned & shows areas of scattered pitting & discoloration primarily toward the tip. Hilt shows light wear overall. (02-13351/BF). 2) FRENCH SILVER HILT. Overall length: 24 1/2". Blade length: 19 1/2". Blade has a single wide fuller & is etched over 1/3 of its length w/ floral foliate & bird motifs along w/ several indecipherable words. Silver hilt has a turned down guard featuring a winged cherub head design. Ferrule & pommel cap repeat the winged cherub head design. Antler grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has been lightly cleaned & has a mottled finish. Quillon is a bit bent as is the guard. Pommel cap has a sm. split in 1 side. Grip shows light wear. (02-13365/BF). 3) FRENCH BRASS HILT. Overall length: 26". Blade length: 21". Blade has a single narrow fuller at the top & is stamped on both sides w/ a fleur de lis. Brass hilt w/ winged cherub head design on the guard. Antler grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows wear & evidence of sharpening over the years. It has a mottled finish w/ very light pitting. Brass hilt is heavily worn & quite loose. Grip shows moderate wear. (02-13379/BF). $800-1,300.
