Fishing takes place during peak season, April 14th through May 20th, (2026 or 2027) when migrating giants patrol the shoreline. Anglers will target powerful Hammerhead, Tiger, and Sand Bar sharks, along with the iconic Red Drum, all from the surf.
Dan operates a fully outfitted, beach-access truck loaded with professional-grade rods, reels, bait, and tackle—everything needed for a world-class experience. He drives directly onto the beach to access prime, less-pressured fishing locations, delivering an authentic Outer Banks surf-fishing experience. Guests may also choose to drive their own truck on the beach, provided they obtain the required local beach-driving permit in advance. From the moment a rod loads up to the blistering run of a shark peeling line into the surf, every hookup delivers heart-pounding excitement under the guidance of one of the East Coast’s most respected shark fishermen.
This trip is valid for the 2026 or 2027 fishing seasons, with dates scheduled directly through Dan to ensure optimal conditions. Not included is lodging (allowing winning bidders the flexibility to select accommodations that best suit their stay), meals (except lunch which is provided), and license.
