1) 1847 DATED MODEL 1842 HARPERS FERRY MUSKET WITH SPURIUS CONFEDERATE MARKINGS. Cal. 69 NSN. Bbl. cut to 32". Gun is carved on right side of buttstock "M. CARROLL / CO. 14TH LA". There is also a "JS" anchor spuriously stamped opposite lock. CONDITION: fair overall. Metal dark w/ old varnish. Stock has been broken & repaired rear of lock. Mechanics fine w/ pitted bore. (01-16721/JS). 2) 1832 DATED HARPERS FERRY PERCUSSION CONVERSION MUSKET. Cal. 69. NSN. Standard configuration w/ 42" bbl. CONDITION: good overall. Metal is mixed dark gray patina. Stock has been sanded in areas but cartouches are still discernable. Mechanically fine w/ smooth pitted bore. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Ronald A. Katchuk. (01-16722/JS).
