1939–1945 War Medal, a campaign medal awarded to British Commonwealth personnel during World War
Design: silver, and features the crowned head of King George VI on the obverse.
Reverse: The reverse depicts a lion trampling upon a dragon with a monster's head, symbolizing the Allied victory over Axis powers.
Ribbon: The ribbon is composed of a central vertical white stripe flanked by red and blue stripes.
Award Criteria: It was awarded for 28 days of full-time service in the Armed Forces or Merchant Navy between 1939 and 1945.
