This revolver shows the name One Hand written twice along with togia mark for Hunkpapa and multiple battle marks on the left grip. On the right grip is found Hunkpapa One Hand written again. Hunkpapa One Hand is also written on the bottom of both grips. Old Bear Hunkpapa is found written on the back strap of the revolver. One Hand, a Hunkpapa Lakota Sioux, was born in 1821 and fought in many battles of the Indian Wars. One Hand and his brother and wife followed Sitting Bull into Canada and surrendered with him in 1881. They were sent by steamer to Fort Yates and eventually sent to the Standing Rock Reservation and settled on the Grand River in present day South Dakota.
