Sharpness EF45 or better but harshly cleaned bright copper. Mostly smooth but there are areas of fine roughness on both sides. A cent that deserves to be properly retoned. A very interesting late die state example with a strong die crack through the dentils that outlines where a cud is forming at stars 6-7.5. This intermediate die state was unknown to Grellman when his die state monograph was prepared. The superior sharpness of this example has enabled a more accurate assessment of the progression of these cracks and cud breaks.Certificate: Pedigree:
