MUSKET. Cal. 71. NSN. This musket conforms to other Harpers Ferry muskets made 1815-1819 w/ 57 1/4" overall, 41 7/8ths" rnd. bbl. w/ US & Eagle head cartouche at breech. Lock is marked w/ eagle over “US” under pan, "HARPERS / FERRY / 1817" at tail. Stock has script cartouche "V" over "JS" (James Stubblefield) & 2 stamped initials "AT".
